Test crypto without real money: a test drive instead of a demo account
As of Oct 22, 2026
Many exchanges offer demo accounts. They're often designed to get you trading with real money and leverage as fast as possible. A test drive takes a different route.
What a demo account often doesn't show
Play money feels different from real money. Add leverage, which multiplies losses: at 100× leverage, a drop of about −0.5% is already the end. A demo account rarely shows how often that would have happened in the past.
How the test drive works
- Pick a coin, an amount and a duration (7, 30 or 90 days).
- The rear-view mirror shows how the same idea would have turned out in earlier periods.
- During the drive you follow the progress with real daily prices.
- At the end you get a report card: result, comparison with Bitcoin, largest drop.
What the test drive is not
No order, no exchange account, no recommendation. No money moves, and the result can end in the red just as well as in the green. That's the point: so you know the swings before real money is involved.
Start for free
You can start a test drive without an account. With an account you get progress updates and the report card by email, and you can compete with Bitcoin on the leaderboard.
